About El Cheapo

El Cheapo searches Amazon, Amazon Warehouse, eBay and other online shops across the UK, Germany, France, Italy and Spain at the same time, then puts every result in one table.

Why it exists

The same product often costs meaningfully less one country over, and Amazon's own Warehouse listings — returned and open-box stock, frequently in as-new condition — are easy to miss entirely. Checking all of that by hand means a dozen tabs and mental arithmetic on exchange rates.

How prices are compared

Every price is stored with its currency and converted using European Central Bank reference rates before anything is ranked, so a German listing in euros and a British one in pounds are compared honestly. Delivery is included in the total where the marketplace states it; where it does not, the row is marked + delivery rather than assuming it is free.

Links to Amazon and eBay carry affiliate tags, and El Cheapo earns a commission on qualifying purchases. This never changes the ranking: results are sorted purely by total cost, and offers from shops that pay nothing are ranked exactly the same way.
